Nebulisation

Nebulisation is an effective respiratory treatment that delivers medication directly into the lungs through a fine mist, allowing faster absorption and immediate relief from breathing difficulties. It is commonly recommended for patients suffering from asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), bronchitis, pneumonia, and other respiratory disorders that cause wheezing, chest tightness, coughing, and shortness of breath. During the procedure, medications such as bronchodilators, corticosteroids, or saline solutions are administered through a nebuliser mask or mouthpiece, helping to open the airways, reduce inflammation, loosen mucus, and improve oxygen flow to the lungs. Nebulisation therapy is particularly beneficial during acute respiratory exacerbations and can significantly reduce the need for emergency interventions by providing quick and effective symptom relief.
