BiPAP

BiPAP is a non-invasive ventilation therapy designed to support patients who experience difficulty breathing due to conditions such as COPD exacerbations, severe asthma attacks, respiratory failure, sleep apnea, and certain neuromuscular disorders. The BiPAP machine delivers two different levels of air pressure: a higher pressure during inhalation to assist breathing and a lower pressure during exhalation to make breathing out easier and more comfortable. This treatment helps improve oxygen levels, reduces the buildup of carbon dioxide in the blood, decreases the workload on the respiratory muscles, and often prevents the need for invasive mechanical ventilation. BiPAP therapy is closely monitored by healthcare professionals to ensure patient comfort, improve respiratory function, and promote faster recovery during acute or chronic respiratory illnesses.
