ADL Training

ADL (Activities of Daily Living) Training is a type of therapy that helps individuals, particularly those with disabilities or recovering from illness or injury, learn or regain essential life skills needed for independence. These skills include tasks such as dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, toileting, and mobility. ADL training often takes place in settings like occupational therapy, where therapists provide hands-on guidance and practice in these areas. The goal is to improve the person’s ability to carry out these basic tasks independently, which can significantly enhance their quality of life and promote self-sufficiency. ADL training can be customized to the individual's needs, whether they are learning new ways to perform tasks or developing strategies to manage physical or cognitive challenges.
